Has Anyone Else Noticed That Time Has Flown By Quicker?

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Can you believe that it is already 1st December 2011?  It just seems like it was only a few months ago when I attended my two children’s school fairs/fundraising events last December.

I have read many other people’s blog posts mention this same effect of time whilst at the same time, we all seem to be under so much pressure and stress!  There are so many new challenges and/or problems which stretch us in many directions. Then there is the information-overload from sites like Facebook and Twitter and that is on top of numerous emails from some websites, most of which are trying to sell you a product or the next best thing.  I wouldn’t mind if they were succinct and came straight to the point.  However, most are lengthy and so are often saved to be read later, which of course adds to our mental clutter and our ability to cope. Then there are all the news alerts from RSS feeds etc etc.

So I will be giving you a tip every few days as to what we can do to start to take our power back.  That in itself is an important starting tip ie, the importance of believing and deciding that we can take our power back.  We do not have to be a slave to this information age.  It was supposed to make our lives better and easier, not make us feel like stressed-out zombies or autobots responding to every text or email as soon as it comes in.

Hence, which do you prefer?  Being in control and feeling able to cope or do you like being an autobot which eventually will likely lead you into becoming a stressed-out, brain dead zombie.  You probably know people who have suffered stress-related illnesses, a mental or physical breakdown or even death.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.  So stay tuned to this website to find out what you can do to make sure you make the most of the opportunities of the information age instead of being affected by all the downside.

Please let me know what you think about the above.

All the best,

Nina Crawford
